General presentation
The Laboratory of Mechanics and Civil Engineering (LMGC) is a Joint Research Unit whose activities are centred on four research areas: Solids & Structures, Discrete Media, Biomechanics, Wood, Bio-based Materials, and Processes & Material Transformations. Established in 1991 by the CNRS and the University of Montpellier, the LMGC is now also under the secondary supervision of IMT Mines Alès.
