Services provided by this unit include:
- Emergency care.
- Sexology (addressing sexual difficulties—treatment and follow-up).
- Personalized support: listening, information, advice, and referrals.
- Support and follow-up for students with disabilities.
- Psychological support: a psychologist visits the school based on demand and meets with students by appointment.
- Vaccine prescriptions.
- Health education (STDs, AIDS, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, contraception, dermatology, stress, sleep, etc.).
- Prescription of nicotine replacement therapy (smoking cessation).
- Prescription of blood tests for sexually transmitted diseases.
- Contraception-related prescriptions.
- Chest X-ray prescriptions (if needed).
- Nutrition advice.
In addition, IMT Mines Alès has joined a national IMT/Ressif agreement to implement social support services for students. The inter-company social worker from Csiereso was appointed to provide on-site consultations at the school twice a month. This first year has laid the groundwork for building student trust and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration within the school to support student well-being.
Social support takes whatever form the student desires—whether individual or group-based, material or psychosocial, a one-off session or ongoing assistance—with the sole aim of ensuring they have the means to continue their studies under the best possible conditions, while preserving their autonomy and the confidentiality of the support provided.
