IMT Mines Alès continues to climb the ladder, and is now tied for 16th place in L'Etudiant's 2023 ranking of 169 engineering schools.
L'Etudiant's 2023 ranking of 169 engineering schools accredited by the CTI (Commission des titres d'ingénieur) is based on criteria assessed by the CTI and the Conférence des directeurs des écoles françaises d'ingénieurs (Cdefi).
The ranking includes numerous indicators grouped into 4 families: academic excellence, international openness, proximity to companies, and openness to new audiences.
Reflecting its in-depth transformation, IMT Mines Alès has experienced a veritable ascent in this ranking over the past few years:

"Academic excellence, career integration, and international reach: here are the top engineering schools of excellence!" states *Le Figaro Étudiant* in the introduction to this carefully selected list.
This engineering school ranking published by *Le Figaro* is based on criteria evaluated by the *Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur* (CTI) and the *Conférence des Directeurs des Écoles Françaises d’Ingénieurs* (Cdefi).

IMT Mines Alès ranked in the top 10% worldwide in the international Webometrics ranking.
The Webometrics international ranking has released its list of the best higher education institutions for the first half of 2026. Out of more than 34,000 institutions evaluated, IMT Mines Alès ranks within the top 13% globally*.
While the school holds an excellent position in the overall ranking, it performs even better in terms of openness and excellence. The school ranks in the top 8% and 9% globally for these two criteria. These metrics are based on researchers' academic output—as displayed on Google Scholar**—and the online dissemination of their work.
Since 2004, the Webometrics international ranking has measured the presence, accessibility, and influence of universities based on web data.
